On my 32nd birthday, I gave my self the gift of health and kicked off my morning with a 10K race. I finished the race in 1:07:20 and I was so ecstatic. Wynell, Mohammad and Irene joined me in this adventure and they logged some great times as well. I am so proud of them! The afternoon of my 32nd birthday, my husband and son threw me a spectacular birthday party. Seriously, I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Ed planned my party to a T and really thought of all the special details (the cupcakes, the streamers, my favorite bbq, etc). I am so proud of him. Everybody had such a great time and it was a really nice and warm party. I felt so loved! It was a really special day. Also, how exciting it was for me to have my son help me blow my birthday candle! He did good and actually blowed it on his own. He was sooo proud!

My heart is bursting with gratitude to have my own wonderful family....
a vibrant and loving group of friends. and a very loving parents, brothers and sisters.And on my 32nd, we found out that our dear friends Ashwin and Rupel is having a boy! Yay for team blue. I am so happy for them and I know that they will make such a wonderful parents.

Content, thankful and happy, that pretty much sums up how I felt on my 32nd birthday. The good Lord has truly blessed me, my family and friends.

Happy Birthday Kate

The Lim family celebrated their daughter Kate's 2nd birthday with a cow themed celebration at Chick-Fil-A. If you know Karen and Kate, you know their affinity for Chick-Fil-A :)

The Cow even made a special appearance - although William and Sarah weren't big fans of him :(Kate and her friends enjoyed the celebration featuring a menu of chicken nuggetts, fries, yummy cake from Publix and an ice cream bar. The indoor playground was a big hit with the kids!
It was nice to see friends too. Amazing how our kids have grown so fast.

As you can see, the birthday gal along with her friends and family had a smashing time! Happy Birthday Kate! Thanks for having us!

{ A busy 4th of July}

Our 4th of July was extremely busy but absolutely fun. I got up real early to run the Peachtree Road Race with my brother. I was so nervous and excited. Although this was my 4th time running it, this was the first for me as a Mom. It's been 3 years since the last time I ran the Peachtree Road Race. I wasn't planning on running it but one of my Mom friend was unable to go this year and kindly let me have their numbers. Yay! So how did I do---- 1:14:30. I love the new chip system. You can now view your time over the web. I had bib number 72193. My brother did really great as always. He ran the whole race in under an hour.


At the end of the race, we met up with Mike and his dad. They had a great times as well. The weather was perfect so it was a really comfortable race. Ed and William picked us up and it was so nice not having to walk to the train station, which by the way was a mile away.

Our afternoon was packed. We went to a friends has for a pool party then later on the day, we went to another friends house for a barbecue.

This picture makes me smile. It seems like yesterday us girls were having our first spring break in Florida.

{Summer at the Atlanta Botanical Garden}

With the 3 day weekend and our membership expiring at the end of July, we invited Allison and her parents to join us for a fun morning at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I am so glad that we went, the garden was recently renovated and it looked fantastic. I love how modern the lobby is. The Moore exhibit was on going as well and it blended perfectly with the garden. These two have been best buddies since they were babies. They had so much fun running around and exploring.

The highlight of the trip for all kids is the Children's Garden. The big favorite of course is the water fountain.
