{Apple Picking: HIllcrest Orchard}

Fall is officially here and apple picking is one of our favorite thing to do during this season. Ellijay boasts plenty of spectacular orchard. Hillcrest Orchard appealed to us because of all the various activities offered. We met up with our friends and had the best time!

We found a couple of good apples :)

Lot of jumping to burn these kids energies.
The orchard was so pretty and had great selection of various apples.
Granny smith apples are William's favorite.
The petting zoo was a big hit with the kids.
We can now also officially call Ed as the goat whisperer :)
Plenty of stuff do that definitely entertained our crew.

{First Soccer Games of the Season}

I am so proud of how well these two played on their first soccer games of the seasons. It has been really fun to watch them and their teams played.

Samantha's first game ever was a lil bit interesting. She was initially shocked and stood a lot.
But later into the game, she got into it. That's our girl!
Great first game for Samantha's team.
She told Daddy that she's going to get that ball and kick it to the goal.
William's been waiting for this moment. His first U8 game. They are now playing with a referee and a goalie. His love for soccer is just so fun to watch. I love seeing our kids discover their passion.
These boys are all 6 year olds, but they kept up with the older kids and tied the game.
Fun Saturdays ahead of us. We are so proud of William and Samantha.

{Pledge of Allegiance}

Two weeks into pre-k and she's learning a lot. She's totally blossomed and is loving her class.

{First Discovery Project}

William's having fun in his discovery class. He looks forward to Discovery day.

He worked in his first project and was so excited to do almost all of it by himself. The only part I helped him was stencilling in the helmet. The rest is all his. For their first project, they were asked to research the meaning behind their name, and make a poster board  and present it to class. They were graded based on creative and presenting skills (i.e. staying on topic and being informative and engaging).

William discovered that his name has a Germanic origin, Willahelm.
Willa - will or desire
Helm - Helmet or protection

He drew himself battling a dragon and protecting the village.
He also noted that his name became popular because of William the Conqueror. England's future King is also named William.

He nailed this project and got 100%!!! So proud of him!

Not to be outdone, lil sister made a poster board too and practiced her presentation with us. Love!!!

{Aint No Mountain High Enough}

We signed up for  a family membership at Stone Summit Rock climbing. The whole family LOVE it! What a great way for us to stay active and have fun!

The kid area is perfect!

Samantha "bouldering"
The kids are naturals!  The big kids were ooohing and aaahing at William's skillz :) They said "look at that boy, go really high!" Samantha did really good as well. Was a lil hesitant at first but got comfortable and was a champ!
They take after their Dad's skillz...definitely not mommies :)
Ed took a quick refresher test and was belayed certified.
What a fun family night!
