When Ed and I got married and purchased our loft. We had intentions of selling it once we have kids. Well, that plan didn't pan out on our timeline as the housing market went on a bust. We were initially concerned with having a kid (much less 2 kids) in our unit. You know, the notion that kids are supposed to have their own bedrooms and big backyard :) We live in a 2 bedroom loft. Loft means no doors and open spaces. In the end we decided that having a family is more important to us. Besides, people in NYC and other countries raise kids in small spaces and do just fine. I am so glad we decided to move forward with having kids and live our life and live within our means.
Holding on to our loft, allow us to have the financial freedom to have 2 kids, save money and not be bind with 2 mortgages. The layout of our house really allows us to be close to each other. We hear the kids all the time and the kids hear us. Living in our loft also means, that we are still within the city, less drive time for Ed and I to work. It takes us 15 mins to commute to work (that is unheard off in Atlanta).
The kids also gets to share a room. Surprisingly, we were able to fit in furniture and stuff for both of them. I think the space ended up looking real cute and fun!
Here's a view of William and Samantha's bed.
The changing table. Samantha has too many bows and I found this message board at Target (for $2) and decided to use it as her bow holder.

Cubbies housing tons of books and toys. And notice Samantha's piggie bank with a Tutu and William's blue piggie banks.

There you have it folks...that's Samantha and William's crib! Yes, I watch too much MTV cribs. At least I spared you with showcasing Samantha's shoe collection huh?
