{Samantha: 10 Months Old}

Adventure and Play is the theme as you turn 10 month old Samantha!

  • You took your first steps last week. As seen here.
  • You adore your big brother. You want to try do whatever it is he is doing.

  • You are a curious lil girl and a fearless lil one!
  • You recently discovered real food and love it! You've had rice, pasta, chicken, catfish and cake and ice cream (I know...bad parents). Your favorite snack is Mum Mum (rice krispies). Your teachers at daycare said that you always check out your classmates food :)
  • You love being outside! Love going to the park and swinging.
  • You've taught your Dad and I that you are a PRINCESS and DRAMA is in the house.even William knows this now :)
  • You are a bright lil girl! You sign for milk and more. And your latest "trick" is clapping your hands!

{A Weekend of Firsts}

  • Our daycare had a parent's nite out so Ed and I had our first dinner date Morton's steakhouse. Food was so good. We really enjoyed having our one on one time.Wish I took a picture :(

  • William rode the pony at a friend's party. He was very hesitant to ride last Halloween but really enjoyed it this time!

  • Samantha just a couple of days short of turning 10 months old took her first few steps.

{Valentines: 2011}

Our Valentines day was filled with so much love from these two!This year William was really into "Balentines". He was so excited to picked out all the goodies for his classmates. When we finished putting them together, he said " They're gonna lurve it Mommy!". This was fun to make (or manage). Ed did all the work! The perks of having a hubby with extreme attention to detail.And this lil bean, was so precious in her Valentine's day outfit. She was very interested in checking out all the Valentine's day goodies' William received from his class.
Love our family! Amazing how Valentine's day celebration has taken a different meaning to us. Lucky for us, this weekend our daycare is offering a parent's night out. My original Valentine and I are celebrating in one of this fancy restaurant. Looking forward to our child free dinner!

{Reasoning}

Oh boy, he's only 3 and we are hearing this now. The kids got their bath in early last night so Ed told William that he can watch TV for 30 mins. Well, the conversation got interesting.

Ed: William, you can watch an episode then it's time to go to bed
William: I don't a TV in my room
Ed: You don't need a TV
William: But you have a TV in your room

I looked at Ed and said, wow, he got you there! :)

W-I-L-L-I-A-M

We were sitting in the living room the other day and William started spelling his name. I wish I can take credit on teaching him this---but he learned it from school :)

I am so proud of him! He's currently in pre-school 2. He's the youngest in class and some are a year older than him but his teachers and director are confident that he is learning and maturing right at the same speed as his class. A couple of other things that's keeping this big boy busy:

  • Often asks "what's going to happen?"
  • Can recognize places and directions. "This is the way to school (or the donut store, the red store (aka Target).
  • Knows that George Washington is the first president of the United States
  • Knows that Neal Armstrong is the first man on the moon.
  • Loves to read Dr. Seuss. Can "read" and narrate the Hop on Pop book all by himself.
  • Has an idea of what Math is. I love how he prounounce it as Mafth.
  • Has a strong sense of family. Very loyal and thoughtful. Always tell his sister that he loves her. He says," Samantha you are so pretty","Mommy and Daddy, I love you". Always quantifies us as Daddy, Mommy, William, Samantha and Riley (our doggie).

William, you are absolutely special! No wonder your lil sis adores you and follows you around :)
