{William and Samantha's First Concert}

I've been meaning to meet up with friends after our beach vacation. I sent Ra and Michelle a note if they were interested in having a get together. Got a reply back that they have plans on going to the Better Than Ezra concert on the weekend. Michelle is the biggest BTE fan. The event was held at an outdoor lawn so we decided that it'll be fun for the kids to run around with their friends Jackson, Evie and Liam. Of course the mommies had a great time. Ra made us this super yummy sangria. It was the perfect refreshing drink at a summer concert.
The dads always have a great time as well.
The kids were busy and really enjoyed playing with their friends.
Samantha adores her Evie. She thinks it's the coolest thing to hang out with the big kids!
She's got mad skillz and can throw a ball!
It's always fun to play with Daddy!
Eeeeepppp...time for BTE to start playing! We hang around Michelle at the front stage for a couple of songs. It was soooo fun!
William watching the show and dancing to some of the songs!
Fun! fun night. It was past the kids bedtime but so worth it! Luckily it was during the weekends.

{William's First Week of Pre-K}

The day after we came back from the beach, William started Pre-K. I can't believe how big he is now. Most schools at our city require kids to be at least four before they can start Pre-K. William will not be turning four till October but his pre-school teachers and school director assessed him as Pre-K ready this school year.

His new class will have 6.5 hours of structured learning. He will be engaged in lessons and activities in the following areas - Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies (including basic Spanish), Creative Arts and Expression, Etc.

Here's our big boy walking our our condo hallway with his book bag.
Pre-ks are encouraged to be independent and hang their own book bag in the mornings.
How stinkin' handsome is he in his uniform?
Pre-k students will also have assignments and projects.

William's first project was to create an "All About Me" poster. The poster includes pictures of his family, favorites and what he wants to be when he grows up. William specifically asked that we put a picture of bacon as his favorite food. Daddy was very proud of his choice!

He completed this project with minimal assistance. He wrote his name on his own and did great even with the big "A". He picked all the pictures and glued it on his own. Mom and Dad only had to assist on cutting and printing the pictures.
Holding and showcasing his finished poster.
  • Picture of his family and dog on the top left.
  • Own handwriting of his name in the middle
  • On the right hand side are his favorites - Atlanta Braves and Auburn (favorite teams), Iphone (device to play games), Airheads (favorite candy), Bacon (favorite food), popsicle (favorite snacks), Lego Ninja and Avengers (favorite characters and toys) and a picture of him at the beach (favorite activity)
  • Bottom left is what he wants to be when he grows up -- A Musician
  • And in the middle is his artwork. William is very fascinated on drawing rocket ships and rainbows.
Have a great school year William!

Seacrest Beach Vacation 2011

Aaaahh... our beach vacation week finally arrived! We've been looking forward to this trip for quit sometime. Our group skipped last year due to newborn babies but we are back!

First and foremost, we made the "traditional" lunch stop at Pineapple Willy's Panama City. Seriously awesome po boys and fish sandwiches! The drinks are wonderful too. Add in a fantastic ocean view sitting and you'll definitely jumped right into vacation mode. Can you tell William is super duper happy to be at the beach? Of course, spoiled rotten by his Godfather and riding his shoulder.

Baby sister Samantha was loving it too!
After lunch, we headed to west of 30A and arrived at our final destination---Seacrest Beach Florida. Our beach house was so awesome! 5 bedroom and 5.5 baths was perfect for family of four vacationing together.
William and Samantha very much enjoyed this morning at the deck.
And the bunk area, I can't even find the words to describe how much the kids LOVED this!
The state of the art kitchen was a favorite spot for making beverages and yummy food!
At night, when the kids are all in bed (finally!). The adults chill and hang out and enjoy more drinks!
Seacrest boasts their famous 12,000 sqf pool. The biggest in the area! It's absolutely gorgeous and have various areas for everyone to enjoy.
William enjoyed swimming "freely" with his puddle jumper. If you have a toddler, this is a must have.
Most of our days were spent hanging around the beach.

Samantha was fascinated at the sand and was a busy lil bee.
William have always loved the beach and it was really neat to see how my big boy appreciated the water and the sand.
Kids busy trying to build sand castle.
Samantha and me just hanging out.
William and Samantha both loved being at the water.
The adults enjoyed the beach as well and we were all perfect beach bums :)
Seacrest is in between two fabulous communities -- Alys and Rosemary.

While the guys were playing golf, the ladies and kids took a stroll to Alys and had a blast at their wonderful playground.

William and Allison quickly figured out how to work this see saw.
How cute is this doggie slide!
The miniature mountain was so fun to hike.
Any place that has sand is a big hit for my lil girl!
Tried to take pictures with the kids at this famous Seacrest Beach sign, but as you can tell they weren't in the mood for it.
Alys also houses the famoud Charlie's Donut food truck. Line was kinda long but the donuts were to die for!
They were almost as big as William's head :)
Rosemary's Sugar Shak is a must see place for kids. William's been so excited for his trip to the candy store. We were the first customer in line that morning. He spent his allowance that week on a lollipop and ice cream.
The whole gang had dinner one night at the famous Red bar restaurant. It's a must do if you are around 30A. I love restaurants with menus written on a chalk board---coz they usually pick the fresh ingredients of the day. William slept the entire dinner. A full day at the beach wiped this kiddo out. I had the eggplant parmesan and enjoyed it a lot!
After dinner, we all walked to the beach and took a couple of family pictures.
My lil crabbies are too cute for words!
The ladies also had a great Girls Night Out at the La Cocina Mexican restaurant. We are a wild bunch and closed the bar at 9PM-hahaha!
Another fun trip with great friends. Samantha's beach outfits were too cute!

The crabby outfit was a gift from Monica and Clint.

The lobster checkered outfit were given to her by her supersweet grandparents.

Lucky girl!
