First Week Back at Work

We survived my first week back at work and William's first week at daycare. Many of you have checked in and sent me some sweet and encouraging message. Thank you!!! William did well at daycare. He's already becoming a favorite and quite a ladies man:) A couple of the lil girls at the toddler room said he's their favorite. We are so lucky to be blessed with such a happy, healthy and beautiful baby. He is already growing up so fast, where has the time gone? He amazes us every single day and I know he will continue to do so every single day from here on.

Before William was born, people would tell me, "You won't understand until you have your own child...". Well, they were right. There is nothing like having your own child. Period. No ifs and buts about it. The love is unconditional. Such a deep and true love that I honestly can't even put into words. Knowing that you would do anything in the world to keep them healthy and happy.

There really is no greater love.

Here are some pics from last week - 14 Weeks.

William with Mom. Ed wanted to take a picture of my new "Posh" haircut.Just chilling and watching TV with Daddy!
He just discovered that he can control his arm so he's so amazed and stares at it constantly.
Ed and I decided to picked up a jumperoo for William. Here's Dad showing William all the neat toys attached. Here's William checking it out.
I just can't decide if William likes his jumperoo or not...What do you think? :)

My goodness is this guy getting big! No stats today. Our next doctor's visit is for his 4 months

shots. He's laughing a lot, found his thumb(or should I say fist),constantly talks and smiles at people. We couldn't be more in love with our little man :)
Here's a video of William laughing and chatting away!

We had another get together before my sister and nephews headed back home to the Philippines. I got a lil teary eyed at the airport when we said goodbye. It was just really nice to have everybody around. Like I said on my previous post, that hasn't happened in years. I'll miss u sis'...bye for now but we hope to see you soon!

I'm so glad that William got to meet his Tita Tess and cousins Jian and Mikko.

Changing

2008. its 200-EIGHT! I can hardly believe it. So much has changed in the past few months that I hardly know where to begin. Somewhere along the way I went from a career girl who would fly across the country and back in a day for an important client to a mom who flies off the handle if our nap schedule is interrupted. Last year I dropped $150 on jeans without blinking an eye and now I comparison shop for sale items at discount stores. Bedtime moved from anytime after 'must see tv' to anytime after 8pm and being 'dressed' has taken on a new minimalistic definition.

I have no idea what this coming year has in store for us, but I can guarantee you it will be full of smiles that will continue to squeeze my heart, more and more 'firsts', and will end with a toddler kissing me to welcome 2009. sounds like a great year to me! I've been telling Ed these past few days that we now have a baby...not a newborn. He's been playing a lot lately. It's so much fun!!!

Hi Lola calls him butsog(chunky). Sitting on his Bumbo.
I adore this picture of William and Daddy playing.

2 months and all grown up

William had his 2 month shots last Monday. He did pretty good. He screamed his head off when the first shot went in and then he calmed down quite a bit as soon as Daddy held him. He now weighs 12 lbs and 4 oz. Doctor was really pleased with his progress.

Here are some current pictures of William:

Enjoying a good book. Sitting up on the couch.
Chatting away after a bath.
Chillin' with my Dad! Here are a few other things I want to remember about him right now:

  • We just moved him to stage 2 diapers.
  • He smiles and laughs a lot...he has the sweetest smile that could melt Mom and Dad's heart. He's a pretty happy baby!
  • He recognizes Mom and Dad. He's very interactive and is starting to "chat".I think he is starting to figure out what is going on in the world. He will stare right at me while I'm holding him and sometimes even make faces when I talk to him.
  • He's been sleeping through the night and is more alert during the day.
  • He's getting stronger and has really good head and neck control.
