Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival '09

We had so much fun last year and had to check out this year's Stone Mountain's Pumpkin Festival. The ads are a little bit confusing and makes you assume that you have to purchase an adventure pass to get to the festival. Wrong! Only thing needed is a park entrance which cost $7/car. We have a family membership to Stone Mountain so it worked out even better! My family was in town for that weekend and they joined us in our adventure as well!

Silly boy had so much fun messing with the pumpkins and rolling around the hay.

He loved the painting section. It's apparent how confident and used to William is doing art work. It's part of their weekly curriculum at daycare. As soon as he saw the paint brushes, table and chairs, he knew what the drill was.

Celebrating Cultures '09

We are so proud to be a part of a school that brings value in celebrating culture and diversity. William's school dedicates a week of learning about different cultures and traditions. I strongly believe that it is important to expose a child in diversity. My parents has done an extremely good job of doing so and I hope that we do the same for William.

This year's celebration was mostly indoor due to heavy rains in Georgia.

We still had a great time and had the chance to participate in Music Time

Story time

Arts and craftsAt the very last minute, I found this "Ati-Atihan" ( a feast held every January in the town of Kalibo in the province of Aklan on the island of Panay, is the wildest among Philippine fiestas. Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry during the last three days of this week-long festival) shirt at our local Filipino store. Shirt was a 5T, had to wash and dry it a lot to shrink it some :)
Guess, who showed up as the schools special guest --- Dora, the Spanish Explorer!
