We were delighted to join Governor Nathan Deal and first lady Sandra Deal at their first Christmas at the Mansion. I absolutely love being at the lighting of the Christmas tree. If you need a lil push to get you in the mood for the holidays, this event is definitely a must go. Here's our family anxiously waiting for the Governor to welcome the crowd.
A quick picture with Santa and Mrs Claus.

We met up with the K and L family. Here's William and his friend Evie waiting at the doorsteps of the mansion.

A quick welcome from the first lady and the Governor, crowd singing Oh Holy night and lights on on this 48 foot Christmas tree from Haralson county. I believe it is the biggest tree that's ever been on dispalyed at the mansion.

My favorite decorated section at the mansion is the formal dining area. This year they did a fabulous job of combining traditional and whimsical flair by using the colors golds and peacock blues.

The library was decorated by a Filipina decorator. She tapped me in the shoulder as we were walking in the door and made sure to look out for the Filipino Santa.

William has never met a Gingerbread house that he didn't liked. This one is unique and looks delish!

I lost track of how many trees were there but they were all so fabulously decorated!

This year's nativity scene had a very organic and zen like feel.

What a fun night it was! Samantha was just smitten by all the sparkles and glitters at the mansion. William was delighted to meet the Governor when he learned about his importance and role. My big boy said that he would love to be a Governor one day! I told him he was well on his way when he commented that each person only needs to grab one cookie from the dessert table so that everybody can have one. He's such a caring person and is always mindful of everybody's well being.
