{San Diego: Gerry & Stephanie's Wedding Weekend}

This weekend, I went on a kid free trip to San Diego for my cousin's wedding. The first few hours of travelling without my lil ones was odd, but I quickly got used to used to. Ready for take off.

This was supposed to be a quick getaway with my siblings(all 5 of us) and mom. Unfortunately my sister's aircraft had some mechanical delays and she missed the wedding. Oh well better be safe than sorry. Hoping to catch up with her in Atlanta instead. We made it to San Diego just in time to check in to our hotel, Marriott Coronado Resort, and change real quick for the rehearsal dinner.
The rehearsal dinner was at Filipino restaurant. My cousin was so excited to see us. He looked so happy and we couldn't share that same happiness that he found his perfect bride.
The rest of the evening was spent catching up with Titos and Titas, eating some delicious Filipno food, karaoking (a necessity at every Filipino gathering) and dancing.
The rehearsal dinner was definitely just a teaser for the fun we will all have at the wedding.

Unfortunately my body is conditioned for early Eastern Time wake up call, so I was up at 4AM pacific time. As soon as I saw a peek of sunshine, I laced up my shoes and went for a 4 mile run around the Coronado bay area. Also had the chance to utilize the hotel's gym to do some circuit training.
Our hotel is conveniently located at this beautiful area, that offers a stunning view of the water and city. I had so much energy and convinced my older brother to kayak with me. The kayak rental shop is just two blocks away from our hotel. This was so fun! But I was beat by the end of our ride.
A quick shower and we were out the door for the wedding.
My cousin definitely found a good catch. Stephanie brings out the best of him and they are perfect for each other.

No shortage of fun in the reception. Lots of dancing! LOVE this picture of my mom hitting the dance floor.
This is also the first time in years, since all cousins from all over (LA, Atlanta, Baltimore,San Diego)are together.
Sunday morning was mother's day. Missed my lil ones but am so glad to enjoy some more time with my momma with a wonderful brunch.

Very much enjoyed my delicious mimosa during brunch.
Gorgeous views and good times with family on this trip.

Looks like fun! The weather is so cool and refreshing in San Diego, that I'm not surprised you had a lot of energy to exercise. I always feel like that when I visit!
