Feeling so blessed to live in this nation and we celebrate big in our red, white and blue. Picture overload from the weekend. We kicked off the holiday with a bike parade at Samantha's school. It was sunny, with a light breeze of air. Unheard of type of weather in Georgia on summer.
She has been looking forward to this parade all week. Here she is riding in her tricked out scooter.
Summer fun continued with game of water spray.
This lil girl was so happy to be surrounded by her family and friends.
The morning of the 4th, we got up bright and early to join 60,000+ runners for the Peachtree Road Race. The largest 10K in the world. The good streak of weather continued, so it was a very pleasant summer run. I haven't been running long distance lately and was surprised at myself with the 9:36 pace for this race. Here are your 2014 Peachtree Road Race Star runners :)
Mike missed out on the race this year due to his ACL surgery. He was gracious enough to be our chauffeur and picked us up at the end of the race.
We spent the rest of the afternoon cooling off at the the next door neighbor's pool. William has really been doing well with swimming lately.
The boys did some more chillin' and watched a couple of the World cup games in their patriotic shirts.
Also had success with our first low country boil. It was delish and the perfect 4th of July dinner.
Served with a very patriotic cheesecake for dessert!
Late in the evening we started making our way to the local park near us for the annual 4th of July fireworks. They have several food stands and a live band for entertainment.
A quick game of catch as we wait for the fireworks.
Our crew!
Perfect night for our family. Our local park's fireworks just keeps getting better and better every year. I love the neighborhood feel of the show. Very convenient to get to and out. A huge thanks to the local law enforcement for dedicating their time and effort for the safety and enjoyment of the community.
The following day we made our way to Lake Oconnee to join one of our favorite family friends to celebrate more. We are so blessed to be surrounded with so much love and happiness from family and friends. Great times at the lake with our crew!
Some sparklers and pop its for entertainment.
A fun golf cart parade.
Some yummy smores!
Lil people pretending to be captains.
A great end to the 4th weekend!

What a FUN WEEEKEND! From the bike parade to the fireworks and boating.
I also love how festive you are and everything was.
My SIL actually made the comment to me over the weekend that she has nothing red, white and blue because she's not patriotic.
Redic. She just gets annoyed that I always color coordinate what Shelby and I wearing.
