{Easter and a 1 Year Old}

When Ed and I found out that Samantha's first birthday will be on Easter Sunday, we were tickled to death. I guess it's the Catholic in us :) What a blessed day! The Easter morning service at our church was beautiful. I also love seeing everybody (esp the kids) in their Easter outfits. After church, we met our family for an Easter brunch at my father in law's country club. The birthday gal was showered with love and smooches from family.

William and Samantha looked so precious on their Easter outfits. When I found out I was having a girl, I knew I was going to dress her in all these precious smocked dresses on holidays. And William, could he be anymore cuter with in his sports coat? What a handsome young man!

This is the best picture I can take with 5 kids. My kids love their cousins. They all look so precious in their Easter outfits.

Sadly, the kids didn't get any eggs from the Easter Egg hunt at the country club. The big kids swiped it in 5 mins. Booo, poor planning on their part.
This year's Easter goodies were awesome! William *might* have just put the Easter bunny ahead of Santa on his ranking (gasp). William loves the show Ben 10 and has been wanting this watch. We've been telling him that if he's good, maybe the Easter bunny will get him one. Well, at the church's egg hunt, he saw a kid's Easter egg basket with the Ben 10 watch in it. William's eye lit up and said, "Mommy, Daddy, the Easter bunny gave him his Ben 10 watch today. I got to talk to him and tell him that I want mine today". It was so cute! Oh, the innonce is just adorable. So, he stood as close to the Easter bunny with the hopes of talking to him :)

We told him that the Easter Bunny would drop his toy at home, while he's asleep. So Saturday night, he couldn't wait to go to bed :) Easiest bedtime ever :) When he woke up, he was ecstatic to find the watch that he's been wanting! But you know what surprised us and the sweetest thing ever? A few minutes after he opened his gifts, he came running to Samantha and told her "Samantha look at all the goodies you got!" He seriously is the best big brother ever!

1. Samantha's Ducky Momo from the Easter bunny. 2. Grandparents got Samantha this adorable bear that recites your classical nursery rhymes. 3. Grandparents got William this super uber cool Superhero pop up book. 4. My sister got the kids this assortment of Easter goodies.

It was a busy day for us and it got really warm in the afternoon. I let the kids run around in the undies as soon as we got home. William of course wanted to make sure that Samantha got her present on this special day. He walked the aisles of Target looking for a perfect gift for her. When he saw this, he said, "Samantha's going to love it" and she did!<>
