{Samantha is 1!}

I can't believe that Samantha is a year old. It seems like yesterday, we were just announcing her arrival. We can't wait to celebrate her big birthday this weekend. Families and friends are travelling in to join her in this big milestone.

We are very thankful for a well 1st year check up. Doctor was very pleased with her development and progress.

Weight: 20 lbs 6 oz (40%)

Head: 45.5 (63%)

She seems to be hitting milestones at a fast speed. It must be attributed to the fact that she wants to keep up with big brother :)

• She's walking fast. No more crawling for this lil one (Unless she's wanting to get by an obstacle). She now walks from our door to the elevator in the mornings.



• She LOVES to climb. She tries to climb up the coffee table whenever the kiddie chair is pushed against it.



• She has a couple of words that she says knows and says well --- Mama, Dada, Beeerd, Ball. The other day, we were at Pottery Barns Kid and she pointed to a couple of the beach balls on display and started saying-ball.



• She signs for more.



• She's no longer on baby food and pretty much each anything we eat. She's been eating school lunch for almost a month now.



• She's still picky with people but gives the biggest smiles and hugs to those she knows.



• She's fond of books. Touch and feel books are favorites.



• She's starting to show interest in dolls.



• She's very interested and curious on everything her big brother does. She started waking him up in the mornings by climbing to his toddler bed. Fortunately, William finds this sweet and gives her a big when she does this.



• She started drinking whole milk and is doing well with it.


• She's a great sleeper and can fall asleep on her own in crib.
