Oh the life with a four year old boy....
The kids usually have snack in my car on the way home from school. William finished his and pointed to my gum stash and said that he wanted some. Now that he's learned to chew gum, he's all about it. He thinks it's the coolest thing ever. Since we are just a couple of blocks away from home and I know that dinner is right around the corner, I told him No, he cant have gum.
That's when the tantrum started.
He was the helper at school this afternoon so I know that he's been good at school. Being a helper is a big deal because you have to be a good kid all day to be chosen. I told him that William be a good boy and I know that he is good because he's been the helper today. His respond..."I've been good at school today, I can be bad at home" It was kinda funny the way he said it but I'm his momma and we are having a disciplining moment here so I tried to hide my smile and told him to be nice and patient for dinner coz I am not giving a gum.
Then he said..."You are not being nice Mommy, I'll take you to the doctor". I asked "To the doctor?" Willliam said "Yes, and they can give you shots" At this point, I just laughed so hard---and still didnt give him a piece of gum!
