{Lake Lanier Getaway:The Lodge}

With the 4th of July being smacked in the middle of the week, we all decided to take the Thursday and Friday off from work to accommodate a quick family getaway before our big Disney trip this year. Lake Lanier was running a great special on their waterpark tickets and stay at the lodge. Funny, when we first walked in, William said that the Lodge looked like Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I can't believe he remembered since it's been 4 and half years ago since we've last been.

We took it easy on our first night, and just spent most of our day at the hotel's pool.
They were having a low country boil at the resort that night, and we all decided that it was great dinner option for us. They have a shuttle service that takes you to the restaurant, and the kids thought it was so cool. Samantha declared that it was her bus :)
A quick walk on the way to dinner.
Dinner was at Sunset cove and offered a phenomenal view of the lake.
Also had a view of the Fundunker and the kids were mesmerized.
My funny boys at dinner.
Can you tell how much she adores big brother?
Country boil was so good (and spicy). We ate way too much. Seems to always happen whenever we are on vacation :)
A live band was playing and Samantha was bopping her head and enjoying the music.
Then it was back to the hotel, for some much needed rest and relaxation for a big waterpark adventure tomorrow. Here's William waiting for our shuttle.
On our way back to our room, the kids noticed the beautiful fireplace at our hotel and we decided to snap a picture of them.
The next day, we grabbed a hearty breakfast at lodge since we know that it'll be a busy day for us at the waterpark. We also wanted to explore our hotel before check out so we went for a quick walk at the trail around the property.
We had a great stay at the Lodge. Can't beat the internet deal we found for this fabulous accommodation.
