{Weekend Recap}

We had a great weekend of friends visiting us and the 2012 Summer Olympics opening weekend.

Here's Samantha all cuddled  up and watching her first Summer Olympics opening. She's too cute when she says "Oimpics".

Oh, remember about my birthday cake mishap? Metrotainment bakery made up for it and made me another white chocolate mousse cake. We had our fare share of cakes this weekend and yes, the pounds are showing :)

We grabbed a quick bite with friends at TDS saturday evening. It was an open area with no A/C. Holy hotness! Needless to say, it was a very quick dinner. My sister was so sweet and offered to watch the kids Saturday evening so we can grab a few drinks with friends. This time we picked a place with air conditioning and wide variety of drink selection. Olde Smith Tavern was the perfect place for some drinks and Olympics watching with friends.

We grabbed brunch the next day at Old Harbor Cafe to spend more time with C &M. We really enjoy having them around and wish that they live closer.

Egg Harbor Cafe is definitely one of the best brunch places that I have been to. The food is so good and makes the long wait worth it. I guess pretty much any brunch place in Atlanta will always be pack on Sunday noon. I had the corned beef hash and it was great. Monica ordered this grits with bits of bacon and monterey  jack cheese and it was sooooo good.

The kids loved their confetti pancake. When it first came, William said "Man vs Pancake" . So funny! We've been watching a lot of Man vs Food shows and the whole family is a big fan :)
