This past weekend, our family had the great honor of participating in the festivities of our dear friend's lil sister's wedding. It was neat to see how Tina has blossomed into this beautiful young lady. I am so happy that she found Arjun. What a gorgeous couple they are are! Much happiness and love to them!
The event kicked off with a Mendhi night for the bride. So glad that I had the chance to spend some time with the bride before the big weekend. Check out my mendhi!
Friday night we was Sangeet night. It's a pre-wedding celebration filled with lots of dancing and singing. We had such a fun night with friends. We all get so busy and hardly see each other but it feels great when we are all together. We've all been through a lot of special milestones together and this is definitely a must.
Ed being adventurous and trying on the "fart water" dish. I tried it too and wasnt a fun at all. It stinks. This was the only dish that I wasnt too fond of. The rest of the food was amaaaazing!
Here's the groom dancing the night away with his bride and mother in law.
I love these people! Ed and I are so blessed to have them.
The following day, we all got up early to witness the Indian wedding ceremony at the Hindu temple in Lilburn. The whole place was so pretty. A must see place in Atlanta.
A quick family picture before the groom arrives.
Welcoming the groom.
The wedding ceremony was so beautiful! It was filled with lot of love and tradition. After the quick lunch reception, we all went toured the Temple. The whole inside was built with marble. Pictures are prohibited because it is actually a place of worship. We took some pictures outside. It really is a gorgeous place.
Final activity for the festivity is the evening reception. It was so fun! The ballroom was transformed into this elegant place. I love all the details! It was so fun to watch all the beautiful saris around.
How fun is the signature drink of the night? Arjuntina :)
The bride was absolutely stunning! What a fun night filled with dancing, good food and good company. Congratulations Tina and Arjun!
